Driving Wellness
![]() The Driving Wellness Van, a health promotion vehicle of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, is designed to get adults and children in New Brunswick excited about living a heart healthy lifestyle. Along with blood pressure screening, the Van’s two Wellness Ambassadors guide participants through interactive displays on healthy eating, physical activity and tobacco-free living.
The Driving Wellness Van is perfect for a workplace wellness initiative, community event, high school class or as part of a wellness fair in your community. By providing participants with tools, tips and the motivation they need to make healthy lifestyle changes, the Driving Wellness Van is helping move our message of healthy living across the province.
We know that New Brunswickers are not taking care of themselves. Half of the population is physically inactive, 60% are consuming less than 5 servings of fruits and vegetables and an alarming 28.5% are obese.[1] New Brunswickers need to start making healthy lifestyle changes to prevent their lives from being cut short from heart disease and stroke. We need to start Driving Wellness. The Driving Wellness Van is available for your workplace or community events. To book the Van, download and submit a completed application form to Janis Maguire, jmaguire@hsf.nb.ca For more information contact: Christine Roherty, croherty@hsf.nb.ca
