Workplace Wellness Awards Program
One of the keys to shaping the future of health promotion is at the workplace. Workplace wellness is the one time we want you to bring your work home with you. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick (HSFNB) partnered with the College of Psychologists and the New Brunswick Department of Wellness, Culture and Sport in order to develop an award recognizing businesses that are helping to build a stronger New Brunswick through workplace wellness. The ‘Wellness at Heart Award’ was established to encourage all organizations, large and small, to stand up and be recognized as an employer who cares about the health of their employees.
We encourage businesses to focus on the following health pillars when shaping their workplace wellness programs; tobacco-free living, physical activity, healthy eating and psychological wellness. Awards are presented on three levels; Gold, Silver and Bronze, maximizing the opportunity to showcase businesses that demonstrate evidence of initiatives in the above mentioned areas. To further show our support for organizations working towards workplace wellness, the ‘Award of Distinction’ is given. These recipients may not meet the Bronze, Silver or Gold standard but show an innovative approach and are well on their way to developing an outstanding program.
