The Hearts in Motion Walking Club

Walking Clubs are designed to be an enjoyable, fun and positive way for people to become heart healthy in their own communities, outdoors in fine weather where the classic brisk walk can do wonders for your overall physical and mental health.

The Hearts in Motion™ Walking Clubs are a Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick program designed to encourage people to participate in regular physical activity by walking. Lack of exercise is recognized as a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke , which is Canada's leading cause of death.

Walking is an easy and sociable activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Beyond the feel good effects brought on by the endorphins released, one of the most overlooked parts of walking is the sense of accomplishment that comes from getting out and doing something. It is a way to build your confidence and it is a much easier activity to participate in socially.

If you are interested in joining the club, contact
